- 1 tbsp mayo
- 1 tbsp onion finely chopped
- 1 tbsp celery finely chopped
- 1 tsp relish optional
- 6 slices provolone cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a small bowl mix together the drained tuna, mayo celery and onion. And add the relish if you are using. Using a fork mix all ingredients completely together.
- Preheat oven to 350*. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Place provolone slices onto the parchment paper and place baking sheet in oven for about 5 minutes or until bubbly and melted. Remove from oven and set aside on kitchen counter to cool.
- Turn your oven to broil.
- Place about a tbsp of the tuna salad onto a corner of the melted provolone cheese squares. Place ⅙ of the tuna salad on top of the melted provolone cheese slice.
- Fold the melted provolone slice over the tuna salad to create a triangle. Press all the edges together making sure the cheese edge has the chance to melt together and make a pocket.
- Place baking sheet into the broiler for one minute only. Check on your Tuna Melts and watch until the cheese is starting to brown and seal with the bottom cheese.
- Pull from the oven and let cool on the kitchen counter. Cool the Tuna Melts to luke warm and transfer them to a plate and serve.
